FALL 2019 8-Week Unit: Geometry Cities

We're so glad you asked! Come put practical use to those math skills.  It's time to get creative using basic geometry to build your own city! What's the catch? You've got to understand geometry to design your buildings, figure landscaping areas, parking, roads and more.  Jr-Sr High take this further with budgets for their own "City Planning" designs.

Students may bring a laptop to load our classroom CAD programming. A laptop is NOT required to participate, though our older students will want one. We'll be using tools such a Xacto knives to cut our chipboard construction. When the time comes for cutting down our boards, parents are invited to help younger participants.

What are Club costs?

$60 for 8-week class (all materials included)

$40 each additional class/student rate

WHO can enroll?

This club is open to students in grades 3-12, (younger with a parent in class to help). Students will be divided into planning teams according to ages/grade levels to complete their tasks. Depending on class size, we make have one collective "city" or many cities.

WHEN are classes?

Mondays from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
