COMING FALL 2020!
Welcome Jessica Spicer to our Network Day schedule!
Join us for hands-on games and activities that are designed to strengthen number sense, develop mathematical reasoning, and provide opportunities for critical thinking, all in the spirit of play! This class does not cover traditional math curriculum topics, but instead seeks to help students gain an appreciation and instinct for pattern and logic and develop resilience in the face of challenging problems (though many activities will also have arithmetic practice “baked in”).
Emphasis is placed on curiosity, supporting one’s assertions, and personal sense-making as opposed to following prescriptive solution approaches. No prerequisites required, just come ready to think, question, and play.
This class is open-enrollment from month to month an geared for youth ages 9-12 years old.
FALL 2020 Session Dates TBA: Registration opens April 2020.
